Friare Liv Consulting was founded in 1992 by Liv Larsson. Until 1999 the activities were mainly individual, group, and leadership, (among other things, UGL-courses) based on a variety of theories and methods. From 1999 onwards, we have more and more worked to teach and learn about Nonviolent Communication, because we saw the effective approach that is both for individuals (in different positions) and groups.
From 2000, we are two working in the Friare Liv Consultant (plus that we cooperate with others). Since 1997, we continued to deepen our knowledge of NVC.
Activities include now also publishing and bookstore for books on Nonviolent Communication. Publisher Operations began with no existing publishers, within a reasonable time for us to give Marshall Rosenberg's book, Nonviolent Communication language of life, in English. It was a huge number of people who participated in courses who asked for books about NVC in Swedish and therefore we decided in 2002 to publish the book in Swedish ourselvs.
October 2008 we have published 15 NVC books in Swedish including a workbook, mediation book and a childresn book by Liv Larsson and other titles by Marshall Rosenberg, Inbal Kashtan and Vilma Costetti.
November 2008 we employ Angelica Patek who will mostly work in the Stockholm area.
Från och med 2010 är vi fyra stycken som arbetar i Friare Liv Konsult. För vissa uppdrag och projekt samarbetar vi dessutom med fler.
Friare Liv Konsult startades 1992 av Liv Larsson. Fram till 1999 arbetade vi i huvudsak med individ-, grupp-, och ledarskapsutveckling, bland annat med så kallade UGL-kurser, baserat på en mängd olika teorier och metoder.
Från år 1999 och framåt har vi allt mer fokuserat på att lära ut och sprida information om Nonviolent Communicationn. Vi anordnar bland annat kurser, ger ut böcker och arbetar med företag. För oss är NVC det som det mest effektiva förhållningssätt individer och grupper kan ha för att leva ett liv i frihet.
2002 startade vi även ett förlag för litteratur om Nonviolent Communication. Det började med att inget förlag, inom rimlig tid, ville ge ut Marshall Rosenbergs bok, Nonviolent Communication ett språk för livet, på svenska. Samtidigt frågade våra kursdeltagare efter litteratur om NVC på svenska... Vi gav då ut Rosenbergs bok själva och idag har vi gett sammanlagt 19 böcker om NVC, många av dem skrivna av Liv Larsson.
