We are happy to share with you Liv Larssons new book - Human Connection at work. Now available in english.
Nowadays people expect to be treated well when they go to the dentist, the supermarket or when they are connecting with their IT-support. If they are not they might turn to someone else the next time they need that service or product. Being professional and staying human might be the biggest competitive advantage of our time. It is said that the cost of attracting a new customer is six times the cost of keeping an old one. This book clarifies how you can be professional and human at the same time. Actually the author claims that it is only when you are truly human that you can be professional. Communication tools for many different kinds of situations. Support in dealing with ”difficult people” or challenging dilemmas. Plenty of useful ideas that can be implemented directly for example in how to use e-mail or phone calls to connect and when not to.
Liv has been going to Dusseldorf and Forum Demokratie the last five years. This year she is giving 2 unique trainings. One is a training for mediators or people dealing with conflicts. Where there are conflicts there are most often also anger, guilt and shame. So this training is dealing with how to handle these tricky emotional states during a mediation. It could also be that the mediator feels shame, anger or guilt. Handling shame in a mediation will lead to a much deeper satisfaction than if its avoided.
The other training is a celebration on the Power of Gratitude. Two full days of finding out about needs but through gratitude and appreciation. What appreciation would make you dance with joy? How can you enjoy expressing appreciation even more? Come get an attitude of gratitude.
The training is partly based on the book The Power of Gratitude
